The Rainbow World Fund is a gay,
lesbian, bisexual, transgender and supportive heterosexual humanitarian
service agency. Rainbow World Fund’s mission is to promote GLBT
philanthropy in the area of world humanitarian relief. RWF provides a
united voice, a large visible presence, and a structure to deliver GLBT
charitable assistance to the larger world community.
The Rainbow World Fund works to help
people overseas and in the United States who suffer from hunger,
poverty, disease, oppression and war by raising awareness and funds to
support existing relief efforts around the world. RWF accomplishes this
by working in the GLBT community educating people about world need.
Along with raising our community’s consciousness, RWF raises funds to
support humanitarian relief projects. We partner with international
relief agencies to support successful existing projects. By doing
extensive research, RWF develops partnerships with the most effective
organizations that best reflect our guiding principles: Empowerment,
Sustainability, Peacemaking, Measurable Impact and Ecological Awareness.
Currently their work focuses on global
HIV/AIDS, water development, landmine eradication, and hunger. RWF
currently supports projects in Africa, Asia and Central America.
